Nobody asked for it, but in just a few weeks, Discovery
Channel will be airing footage of a man being eaten alive by an Anaconda.

According to the cable network, because they want to go
where reality television has never gone before: inside the mouth of an
anaconda, "naturalist and wildlife filmmaker Paul Rosolie will enter
the belly of an anaconda in a custom-built snake-proof suit" in its Dec. 7 special Eaten Alive.

Discovery has been relatively stingy with details about the
program but Rosolie survived the stunt, which has already been filmed and
edited. Rosolie had "covered himself in pig’s blood to make himself
appetizing to the snake" before he was swallowed.
Twitter has been buzzing with horrified comments regarding the program since Wednesday, when Discovery released both a promo and a sneak peek of Eaten Alive on YouTube.
